WHAT I HELP WITH

Tutoring is one of the ways I work with families and here’s what that looks like.

I work with elementary students who need academic support, but also with the confidence, language, and emotional skills that make learning possible. Every child’s needs are different, so we begin by understanding what is getting in the way and build from there.

K–6 Elementary Learning Support

Reading, writing, math, homework support, and study skills taught by a teacher with a master’s degree in elementary education. I meet students where they are, identify where the difficulty begins, and help them build steady progress without making them feel defined by a grade.

Reading · Writing · Math · Homework Help · Study Skills

Confidence and Learning Habits

Some students understand more than they are willing to show. I help children who avoid difficult work, shut down, doubt themselves, or have stopped participating rebuild confidence through patient instruction and manageable wins.

Self-belief · Persistence · Participation · Learning routines

Social and Emotional Learning

Learning is affected by how children understand and manage their emotions. Sessions can support emotional awareness, frustration tolerance, communication, problem-solving, and the ability to recover when something feels hard.

Emotional awareness · Frustration · Communication · Resilience

Support for English Language Learners

I support English language learners as they develop academic language and confidence in the classroom. This can include vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, conversation, and understanding the language used in schoolwork.

Academic vocabulary · Reading comprehension · Writing · Classroom language

The goal is not only to complete the assignment. It is to help each child feel more capable of facing the next one.

Rates and Availability

Choose the kind of support that fits your child.

Every child starts from a different place. We begin by understanding what is happening at school and at home, then choose the session format that makes the most sense for your child. You do not need to know exactly what your child needs before reaching out. That is what the first conversation is for.
