For a lot of kids, the hardest parts of the school day are the unstructured ones, no teacher directing, nowhere to hide. Has your child ever struggled with one of these, and what did you or the school do about it?
The fight over the worksheet is often a fight about "I'm not good at this and I don't want you to see me fail." Has this shown up in your house? What helped you tell the difference between avoidance and genuine struggle?
